YOUTH EXPERIENCES
NewView Oklahoma believes that every child or young adult deserves to have great experiences, and that’s why OWL Camp (Oklahomans Without Limits) and Keys to Work were created for children and young adults who are blind or have low vision.
Camp activities are carefully planned and designed to encourage collaboration, improve confidence, self-esteem, independence, and challenge societal and self-imposed limits.
PLAY Academy
November 6 – 8, 2026
PLAY Academy is a weekend built just for kids ages 10 to 17 who are blind or have low vision, giving them the chance to be full-time athletes, teammates, and friends. From November 6 through 8, campers will stay at Post Oak Lodge and spend the weekend trying sports designed with blindness and low vision in mind, including goalball and beep baseball. Days are packed with coached play, team building, and plenty of game room fun, and it all wraps up Sunday morning with a goalball competition parents are welcome to watch, plus closing shout outs to celebrate everyone’s hard work.
For a lot of parents, this weekend is the first time they get to watch their child run the bases or dive for a ball without hesitation and see just how capable and confident their kid really is. PLAY Academy gives blind and low vision youth ages 10 to 17 a safe, supportive space to build skills, independence, and friendships that carry well beyond the weekend. YMCA Camp Classen
OWL campers participate in activities such as rock-climbing, archery, horseback riding, swimming and kayaking. New activities are added every year to create a unique camper experience. At OWL Camp, kids discover something powerful: Their vision does not define their limits.
KEYS to Work experience – AGES 17 THROUGH 22

The Keys to Work Experience is an immersive, hands on program for youth and young adults preparing for the next stage of life. Participants work alongside NewView’s certified professionals, connect with peers, and build new friendships while growing confidence for the future.
Built around three core pillars, the program focuses on professional development, college exploration, career exploration, and real world life skills. Through engaging activities, participants strengthen resume and interview skills while gaining practical experience that supports independence and future success.
