Empowering Education Through Kindness
The Rachel Quinn Children’s Foundation in Long Island, NY was established in 2021 by Nathan Quinn in memory of his wife, Rachel, an elementary school teacher who believed in the transformative power of education. Rachel’s passion for fostering kindness and empathy inspired Nathan to create a foundation that continues her legacy by supporting underprivileged children in Long Island.
Problem-Solving
The foundation aimed to provide essential school supplies to children in need, ensuring they start the academic year equipped for success. The goal was ambitious, but NewView was up to the task. The kitting team got to work and met the deadline to pack and distribute 1,900 backpacks (1,600 polyester and 300 clear) filled with supplies, plus 100 additional supply kits (50 for high school students and 50 for elementary students), totaling 2,000 kits.
The Result
Through strategic planning and community engagement, NewView Oklahoma successfully assembled and distributed all 2,000 kits. Each backpack was thoughtfully packed with age-appropriate educational materials, reinforcing Rachel’s belief that every child deserves the tools to thrive academically.
Impact
This initiative not only alleviated financial burdens for families but also promoted Rachel’s values of kindness and empathy.
