Community Programs

Creative Visions

Art classes, including drawing, acrylics, and photography, open to any adult with vision loss and led by professional artists.

NewView Oklahoma proudly offers an artistic outlet to blind and visually impaired individuals! Creative Visions hosts art classes for adults and children.  Sessions are generally six, consecutive weeks that meet for 90 minutes. The class schedule is developed to coincide with exhibitions at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, as well as feedback from participant surveys. Classes are taught by local, professional artists and have included Installation Art, 3-D Mixed Media, fused glass, textiles and mosaics, sketching and drawing in charcoal, pencil and pastels, and acrylic marbling.
